Hand Signed by Lt. Cdr. George H. Gay, Jr., USN.
Gay served with VT-8 (Torpedo Squadron 8) aboard the USS Hornet during WWII. He and his entire squadron were shot down during the Battle of Midway and he was the sole survivor (he wrote a book by the same name).
The PROFILE 214 publication is Titled: Grumman (Eastern) TBF (TBM) Avenger, publication is 26 pages (pgs 64-90), stapled and firmly intact.
