    You are purchasing a news photo from World War II. It was taken near Dunkirk, France.
    SUBJECT:
    A British ship gets close enough to shore to rescue soldiers who were on the beach. This photo appears to have been reprinted by the newspaper for use years later.
    DATE:
    The imaged happened in 1940 but it looks like it was reprinted in the 1970s.
    CAPTION:
    "For release on April 13, 1975 and thereafter. Return to library. Buffalo Evening News.
    SIZE:
    8 by 10 inches.
    CONDITION:
    The glossy image has grease-pencil marks where it would be cropped for publication. There is a description of the Dunkirk rescue pasted on the back.
