A genuine vintage Mid 1950s Chevrolet Chrome Accessory Exhaust Deflector Emblem. Extremely Scarce. This one survived without the attaching clips. If you recall the flat chrome exhaust tips that faced down toward the road. These were accessory items that could be purchased back in the day. Their purpose was to deflect the nasty exhaust smoke downwards while looking flashy at the same time. You could purchase these back in the day for the car of your choice. Although each deflector was made identical, this little thin brass emblem could be snapped into to two small slots. Pretty interesting emblem. One that you will no longer see any more. Measures approx1" x 1".  This is A genuine authentic find from the old days! A Great collectible for the Chevrolet Collector that has everything but probably does not have this one.
