1960 CHEVROLET Impala SILK NECKTIE w IMPALA Logo/Botany Tie--1964 Impala CHEVY

Promotional advertising silk necktie (approximately 53” long by 2 ½” at its widest point) for the Chevrolet Impala, made by Botany, circa 1958 to early 1960s. The skinny necktie is gray colored with a vertical pinstripe pattern and an embroidered Chevrolet Impala logo in four places, including one that displays at about chest height when worn. The logo features the white figure of an impala inside a white circle with a small blue Chevy ‘bow-tie’ in blue at the bottom edge of the circle. I’ve tried the tie on and, like most ties from this era, it’s short (about 6” shorter than a modern tie) and very skinny. This must have been a promotional item, probably given out by Chevrolet dealers. The Chevrolet Impala first went into production in 1958, and I suspect this tie wasn’t made in that year or soon after. If you have a hot 1964 Chevrolet Impala with a 409, this is a must have item! The tie is in very good condition with no flaws of note—looks like it was rarely worn. It’s been folded up in a box for a long time and has fold marks that probably will iron out fine. Great Chevy Impala item!
