The 1840 United States Army NCO Sword with leather scabbard
The United States Army Non-Commissioned Officer sword was adopted by the War Department in 1840. The Army Noncommissioned Officer Sword has been worn by Army sergeants for over 100 years. It is primarily used today for honor guards and presentations such as PCS and change of command. Our swords have been purchased by the Army NCOA ( Non Commissioned Officers Academy) as well as National Guard and US Army military bases around the world.
Prior to 1868 the M1840 (1840 Army NCO sword) was equipped with a leather scabbard and this traditional sword is preferred by various units.
The display stand has 2 levels allowing you to display the sword on one level and scabbard on the other. This is the
    PREFERRED
    way to display your sword
. Keeping a sword stored in its scabbard can lead to rust as the moisture builds up in the enclosed space.
